Avène is recommended worldwide by dermatologists, pharmacists and skincare experts due to its 270+ years of expertise in caring for sensitive skin and their Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream is an incredible dupe for the La Mer Moisturiser.
Both creams are formulated using glycerin, mineral oil and waxes which are critical for hydration as they are humectants which reduce water loss from the skin.
The Avene moisturiser is fragrance free whereas the La Mer contains fragrance and essential oils which can be irritating for sensitive skin types. The La Mer cream does however have a fresh 'spa like' scent.
The La Mer moisturiser contains Algae Extract known as their "Miracle Broth" whilst the Avène contains post-biotic biotechnological patented active ingredient derived from Aqua Dolomiae derived from thermal spring water know as "Fountain of Youth".
Both creams have the same super thick and nourishing texture which is great for restoring your skins barrier.

Easy to apply, nice consistency and colour.
A brilliant dupe. I usually use YSL primer but don’t have as much cash nowadays to spend on make-up. This is a perfectly acceptable alternative for a fraction of the price.
The best brow product I have tried, very reasonably priced, easy to apply and long lasting.
